Another month in the books! Is it possible to already miss the days you are living in? Life here continues to amaze us, every alley and hidden street food stall, our complex and dynamic clients at work and the craziness of living in one of the biggest cities in SE Asia have made for a pretty fantastic past six months. March was filled wth fun memories with friends -- some friends we've made here, as well as friends from home.

Not the best picture, but the only one we captured from the Saigon Outcast "Beer Fest." The craft beer scene in Saigon is growing rapidly and its fun to be living through it! |

The Coffee Ship |
Believe it or not, the drink in Kevin's hand is coffee. They love their milk here! |
We paid a short visit to a Buddhist temple in District 2 |
We celebrated our friend Alex's birthday, "Roaring 20's" style. |
When Kevin was in high school, he became friends with Vietnamese exchange student named Khoa who was in Santa Barbara studying. Fast forward 14 years (Kevin feels old writing that) and Khoa is back living in Saigon, and so are we! It's been fun to re-kindle the long lost friendship. We made a few memories with Khoa and his girlfriend, Trang this month. They took us to a lovely dinner at a local brewery, and then we got to tag along on their trip to Vung Tao, a beach town about two hours away from Saigon. Trang is originally from Vung Tao and we spent the weekend exploring different beaches and parks, and eating some very delicious food.

Christ the King in Vũng Tàu. The statue of Jesus is standing on Mount Nhỏ and was built to resemble Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro.

In Jesus' arm! |
Something we'd never thought we'd see? Dog racing! |
Khoa and Trang asked us if we would like to go to a park, so of course we said yes. Little did we know, the "park" they were referring to was a full on theme park (and water park!) on the top of a mountain. We felt like we were kids again riding every ride and going down crazy fast water slides. |
Khoa and Kevin after a full day at Ho May park. |
We had one evening free and enjoyed setting up our beloved hammock to watch the sunset over the South China Sea. |
Thankful for a great weekend! |
As if this month wasn't full enough, we welcomed one of Madelyn's best friends, Morgan, and her boyfriend Carl to Saigon! We found no problem filling four days eating, drinking, swimming, exploring and laughing our way through Saigon. It is SO special to have friends visit us and have the chance to show them around our new home. We are so thankful Morgan and Carl made the journey out here!

Morgan and Madelyn at one of our favorite restaurants, Simple Place, drinking Ba, Ba, Ba (333) |

Cheers to this couple and the delicious Pho! |
One final cafe before saying goodbye (for now!) |
Very thankful for our sweet little apartment, and the sunsets we catch every night. |
We love you all! Thanks for following along:)
