Thankful!

We are the luckiest people to have spent so much quality time with family and friends this summer. If we missed you, we're sorry but we'll be back before you know it! Here are some highlights from the blissful weeks we had in the states.

The highlight of Madelyn's time home was without a doubt her nephew Hunter. Just look at that smile!

Madelyn hiked 13 miles on the beach to reach the tip of the Dungeness Spit.

Hunter learning our names:)
Nothing like the Pacific Northwest!

Madelyn and her family hiked to commemorate a dear friend's fundraising efforts for Seattle Children's Hospital

Madelyn's first stop in SB: In-N-Out!

Kevin and Bernadette took a trip to the infamous Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo.

Kevin's close friend Drew celebrated a bachelor weekend in San Diego.

It wouldn't be an August trip to SB without going to Fiesta!

Bernadette and Joe's rehearsal dinner

Celebrating the newlyweds!
Cheers to the Yonke's!

We love Santa Barbara!

After the dream trip to our hometowns, we boarded two different flights, and Madelyn won the lottery in Hong Kong with one of the only flights departing that day due to the protests. It was somewhat of a brutal transition back to the reality of long work weeks and being so far from family, but we're slowly starting to get back into the rhythm of this crazy place again. We were lucky enough to bring "home" with us with three dear friends who visited us since we've been back. It's our absolute favorite thing to show the people we love this place we love. There is really nothing like it.

Back in Saigon! And thanks to Will, we have some good pictures to show for it!

Kevin taking Kristin for a ride. This ride was sunny but the next ride Kristin went on was in a full-blown monsoon.

What to do while waiting for your private karaoke room? Sit on gigantic bears in the waiting room!
We missed our water taxi to the city, but at least there were some good views!

We're bummed to be missing another husky football season in Seattle with Madelyn's family, but will be their biggest fans in Asia with our purple and gold pool noodles. Go Huskies!

We have lots of exciting things to look forward to in the coming months like a quick trip back to LA for Drew's wedding (and time with all of our parents), an Applied Behavior Analysis conference in Malaysia, and training for our half marathon in December. Who thought running 13.1 miles in 90 degree weather and 80% humidity was a good idea anyway? ;)

Sending love and hugs to everyone back home.
